Ive been testing out some ways of building my research on speculative unearthing into art practice teaching and Ive been developing this research project with students - exploring Chislehurst Caves, making proposals for burial and leading to an exhibition as a series of object burial rituals. This led to some cool stuff this year including a Labubu funeral, work drifting along the river or snagged in bushes, layered future mulch drawings, and a student-curated project returning to the caves for a site-specific response.
