I've written a new article, developing my presentation at the Nuclear History and the Archive event. This discusses toxic dust as a material, mythic and poetic connector between local sites / struggles, planetary scales and deep time. It discusses drifting monuments, unearthing, and UK colonial nuclear history through the work of the Kokatha and Nukunu artist from Woomera, South Australia, Yhonnie Scarce, shown at Ikon Bimingham. This leads to a discussion on the speculative ethics of the artwork. You can read the article in Journal of Visual Culture at the end of 2022.
